? Were working with a customer-focused Managing Agent to support them in their search for a new accounts professional to join their growing team. This position comes with a lot of opportunity for progression. As a smaller, independent business, they pride themselves on being able to offer a personal service to their clients and customers. The business portfolio covers London, Surrey, West Sussex, East Sussex, Essex and Kent. Its diverse, ranging from converted Victorian buildings to modern purpose-built blocks, housing estates to mixed-use, mixed-tenure properties. This vacancy is a particularly key hire for them, with it being able to back up their expansion plans. Theyre looking for someone to take responsibility for year end accounts, setting and managing budgets alongside the Property Managers, ensuring the smooth and detailed handover of buildings, and generally adding value to the accounting function of the business. Duties will also include: Preparing audit packs for external accountants
Preparing service charge accounts for certification externally
Loading budgets into the finance system, alongside percentages
Raising demands for service charge
Assisting the Property Managers with any accounting queries
Producing quarterly client financial reports, issuing them to the Property Managers
Supporting with onboarding new business
Purchase ledger
sending to Property Managers for approval before adding invoices to the system to be paid
Raising invoices on Sage Accounting
Your role will involve building a rapport with colleagues, clients and other key stakeholders, ensuring transparency in communication and delivery. As a smaller business, theyre looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on, taking ownership and working collaboratively. The role comes with the opportunity to progress into a more senior role in the business, overseeing the Finance Team.
