The ideal applicant would have a minimum of 8 - 10 years' experience of producing detailed underground topographical surveys and must be able to demonstrate experience in the use of GPS and Total Station equipment to produce a detailed topographical survey. Experience of multi-disciplines would be an advantage.
Role Description:
- Carry out site surveys as required by the work instruction.
- Undertake thorough and detailed topographical surveys and conduct paperwork in accordance with company procedures.
- Liaising with other site surveyors, contractors, suppliers, clients.
- Carry out appropriate quality control checks before drawings are issued to customers.
- Mentor and train less experienced surveyors.
- Overseeing technical aspects of projects to ensure quality delivery.
- Recording of utility mapping survey markings.
Must be self-motivated, have the ability to follow instructions and to work on their own initiative, and be flexible.
Requirements/Skills & Attributes:
- Previous experience working as a Topographical Surveyor, ideally with supervisory experience.
- Advanced skills in the use of GPS and TPS.
- Ability to use CAD and SSC controller preferred but not essential.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of underground utility mapping and GPR.
- Knowledge of Topographical Surveying equipment beneficial but not essential.
- Experience working across a wide variety of environments and on complex surveys.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Experience of carrying out training of other staff.
- Ability to work away from home occasionally.
- CSCS qualification is beneficial but not essential.
