Position: Renewable Energy Project Developer
Location: United Kingdom (Remote, with frequent domestic travel)
Reports to: Country Manager, based in Madrid
Key Responsibilities
- Opportunity Development: Identify, create, and develop new and profitable opportunities in Solar, Wind, and Storage sectors. Drive projects from the identification phase through to development, including greenfield, co-development, and M&A opportunities.
- Feasibility and Analysis: Evaluate the economic and technical feasibility of potential projects. Implement business development strategies in the UK, focusing on market analysis, opportunity assessment, and financial/technical evaluations.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct country-specific analysis and gather market intelligence. Support in the preparation of internal and external documentation related to project analysis and development.
- Regional Strategy: Explore and analyze regional market needs and intelligence. Identify key regional issues and integrate them into strategic planning for the region.
- Project Management: Assist in managing engineering studies, environmental impact assessments, and coordinating with technical staff. Liaise with all project stakeholders, including government bodies, co-developers, TSO/DSO, landowners, and consultants.
- Due Diligence and Acquisition: Support project due diligence processes. Assist in the closure of project acquisitions.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in the UK renewable energy sector.
- Education: BSc in Engineering, Finance, or a related field. A specialized master’s degree or additional training in renewable energy is a plus.
- Location: Must be based in the UK or legally eligible to work in the UK.
Other Requirements
- Willingness to travel frequently within the UK.
