We are looking for a highly skilled Associate Landscape Architect with over 8 years of experience. This role is critical in bridging the gap between the leadership team and junior staff overseeing project delivery managing teams and contributing to the firm s strategic growth. As an Associate you will play a vital role in ensuring high design standards operational efficiency and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Design & Planning: Lead various project types including urban regeneration pedestrian road and retail schemes while preserving site integrity. Oversee and approve site studies (e.g. soil ecology buildings and roads) to ensure they meet client specifications. Develop and present detailed design plans using CAD or similar design software. Supervise junior staff in preparing CAD drawings. Team & Project Management: Manage the workflow and operations of your assigned team with final signoff from senior leadership. Develop and agree on project programmes with the Project Director ensuring accurate longterm resource planning. Oversee project deliverables aligning with fee proposals and scheduling monthly invoicing. Maintain strong commercial awareness and ensure financial tracking. Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Present design proposals to clients address inquiries and negotiate any amendments as needed. Proposals & Bids: Assist in writing fee proposals under the guidance of the Associate Director or Director ensuring commercial viability and effective project programming. Team Collaboration: Participate in practicewide meetings to ensure resource allocation efficiency. Contribute to thought leadership within the firm engaging in strategic discussions and driving innovation. Business Development: Actively seek out and contribute to new business opportunities aiding the firm s strategic growth. Primary Focus Areas: Support the Associate Director in managing team performance and development. Participate in the Senior Management Group to discuss business progress and future strategies. Mentor junior staff and guide them through their professional development. Requirements Minimum of 8 years as a Landscape Architect with at least 2 years of postchartership experience. Chartered membership with a relevant professional body (e.g. CMLI or equivalent). Proficiency in CAD and other relevant design software with strong skills in producing detailed design plans and working drawings. Demonstrated experience managing teams and leading projects from concept to delivery. Solid understanding of project resourcing financial management and invoicing processes with the ability to manage budgets and profitability. Strong communication skills with the ability to present and negotiate with clients and stakeholders effectively. Proven ability to contribute to new business generation and develop fee proposals. Experience in mentoring junior staff especially guiding them through the Pathway to Chartership (P2C) process. Active participation in industry events and thought leadership with a forwardthinking approach to design innovation and practice growth. Proven experience in project management resource planning and delivering highquality outcomes on time and within budget.
