We are looking for a Business Developer for a UK-based role to nurture commercial and technical relationships with clients and expand business horizons across the region.
Creating and developing new and profitable Solar, Wind, and Storage opportunities, from the identification of potential projects to the development phase.
Evaluating the economic and technical feasibility of projects, managing greenfield, co-development, and M&A opportunities, and implementing business development strategies focused on market analysis and project opportunity assessments from financial and technical perspectives.
Playing a key role in originating opportunities in the UK, with an emphasis on analysis, including country-specific research, market intelligence, and preparing internal and external documentation.
Exploring regional market needs, gathering market intelligence, and identifying key topics to incorporate into regional strategies.
Assisting in managing engineering studies, environmental impact assessments, and other technical elements related to projects.
Managing and coordinating with all project stakeholders, including government bodies, co-developers, TSO/DSO, landowners, and consultants.
Supporting project due diligence processes and acquisition closings.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in the UK renewable sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related field. A specialised master's degree or additional training in renewables is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting, with prior experience in financial modeling for energy or infrastructure projects; VBA experience is valued.
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
- Strong motivation, proactivity, teamworking, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Spanish is an advantage.
