We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Family Support Worker to join a 4-bed assessment unit in Hendon. This is a full-time role supporting residents during a structured 12-week assessment period. As a Family Support Worker, you will help provide a safe, supportive, and professional environment for young mothers and families who may be experiencing complex needs, including domestic abuse, substance misuse, and parenting-related challenges.
About the Service:

Key Responsibilities:
- Support residents throughout their 12-week assessment placement
- Help maintain a safe, stable, and respectful living environment
- Work with residents affected by domestic abuse, substance misuse, and other challenges
- Observe and record residents' progress, behaviour, and day-to-day routines
- Complete accurate daily notes, incident records, and professional reports
- Share relevant information with the wider team to support assessments
- Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns appropriately
- Encourage residents to engage positively with support plans and routines
- Work as part of a team to promote positive outcomes
About You:
- Experienced in supported housing, social care, family support, youth work, or a similar setting
- Confident writing clear, factual, and professional records
- Calm and professional when managing challenging situations
- Understanding of safeguarding and the needs of vulnerable families
- Compassionate, reliable, and able to build positive working relationships
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Committed to maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality
