Role Description The Registered Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Staffordshire, responsible for the operational leadership of a care service within Connective Care Group. Day-to-day duties include overseeing care delivery, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, maintaining accurate records, and implementing policies and procedures. The role involves managing and supporting a multidisciplinary team, leading supervision and performance reviews, and promoting a culture of safeguarding, dignity and respect. The Registered Manager will coordinate care plans, liaise with external professionals and families, and ensure person-centred, outcomes-focused support. This position also requires monitoring service quality, managing budgets and resources, and contributing to continuous improvement across the organisation.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, performance management and staff development.
- Proven experience in care service operations, with skills in service coordination, rota management and resource planning.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and Ofsted compliance requirements, safeguarding practices and quality assurance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with individuals, families, professionals and external agencies.
- Competence in report writing, record keeping, and use of digital systems for documentation and care management.
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure, manage risk and respond effectively to incidents and concerns.
- Relevant health and social care qualification (e.g., Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent) or working toward it.
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or in a senior role within residential, therapeutic or community-based care is highly desirable.
