We’re working with a well-established property law firm in Altrincham looking to bring on a Conveyancing Legal Assistant / Case Manager to join their busy team. If you have experience in conveyancing and enjoy managing cases from start to finish while supporting senior lawyers, this could be the role for you. You’ll help keep transactions moving smoothly by handling a mix of legal and administrative tasks in a friendly, organised environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the team through every stage of the conveyancing process, from instruction to post-completion
  • Managing admin around exchanges, completions, SDLT submissions, and Land Registry applications
  • Handling lease or transfer variations and supporting with charge redemptions
  • Liaising with clients, lenders, solicitors, and third parties to keep things moving
  • Maintaining accurate case files and ensuring all documentation is up to date
  • Assisting with legal compliance and keeping systems organised
  • Providing ad-hoc support to the wider office and stepping in where needed

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience in a conveyancing team, either as a Legal Secretary or Assistant
  • Is confident managing documents, tasks, and deadlines
  • Has strong admin and IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook – and ideally some legal software too)
  • Pays close attention to detail and is happy to work independently
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with clients and colleagues alike
