Join to apply for the Support Worker (Bearbrook) role at Connection Support. We’re currently recruiting two Support Workers to join our Short-Term Accommodation Service in Aylesbury.
Base pay range: £25,666 - £27,981 per annum, dependent on experience.
Role Responsibilities:
- Supporting clients to access housing options, benefits, and tenancy information.
- Helping people engage with employment, training or volunteering opportunities.
- Connecting clients with local resources such as food banks, mental health or substance misuse services.
- Supporting the development of essential life skills such as budgeting, paying bills, shopping and meal planning.
- Encouraging clients to build positive networks within the community and, where possible, reconnect with family and friends.
The Details:
- Contract: Permanent, full-time
- Hours: 12‑hour shifts on a 4 days on / 4 days off rota (averaging 38.5 hours per week)
- Shift pattern: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm (Includes weekends and bank holidays)
- Salary: £25,666 – £27,981 per annum (dependent on experience)

About You:
- Professional background in housing or homelessness support, mental health or substance misuse services, or criminal justice/community support work.
- A good understanding of housing and benefits systems (training can be provided).
- The ability to remain calm and adaptable when faced with challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and a person‑centred, flexible approach.
- The ability to motivate and empower others.
- A genuine commitment to helping people and alignment with Connection Support’s mission, vision and values.
