About The Service

As part of the Oxfordshire Mental Health Partnership, we provide focused support to people with severe and enduring mental health conditions, listening to the support needs of our clients and helping them access services that will help in their recovery and to live independently.

The impact you will have

Working alongside clients, you will help them overcome issues that impact their ability to live independently. You will support people to access services tailored to their individual needs, including housing, tenancy support, healthcare, welfare benefits, and opportunities within their local community. No two days are the same in this challenging but rewarding role, where your support can make a lasting difference to people’s lives.

Contract: Permanent.

Hours: Part time, 30 hours per week, Tuesday - Friday.

Location: This role will be focused on clients based in South Oxfordshire and Vale, but wider travel across Oxfordshire will also be required. The office base is in Wolvercote, Oxford.

Salary: £27,418 - £28,541 per annum, pro rata, dependent on experience. Please note salary shown is the full time equivalent.

About You

You’ll be passionate about supporting people to improve their wellbeing and independence. Whether your experience comes from a professional role or your own lived experience, you’ll understand the importance of treating every person with dignity, respect and compassion, recognising that everyone’s journey is different.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Professional and/or lived experience of supporting people experiencing mental health challenges.
  • An awareness of mental health conditions and the impact they can have on people’s lives.
  • An understanding of housing and welfare benefits, or a willingness to develop this knowledge through training.
  • The ability to build positive, trusting relationships while treating people as individuals.
  • Good basic IT skills, including using email and maintaining accurate records. Full training will be provided on our internal systems.

You’ll share our passion for helping people achieve positive outcomes, celebrating progress along the way and supporting people through the more challenging times too. As this role supports people across Oxfordshire, a full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
