About the Service

Ray House provides accommodation, support and advice to adults experiencing homelessness with a history of rough sleeping. The service helps individuals build stability, improve wellbeing and move towards independent living through accommodation-based support and access to specialist services.

The impact you will have

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and developing a new supported accommodation service and building a strong, values‑led team from the ground up. You will help create a safe, high‑quality environment that supports residents to achieve stability, independence and positive outcomes. You will lead the day‑to‑day delivery of the service, supporting staff to provide excellent care and housing management while ensuring compliance, safeguarding and high operational standards. Through strong leadership, partnership working and a hands‑on approach, you will help establish a service that makes a lasting difference to residents and the wider community. You will also participate in the on‑call rota, providing additional support to the wider organisation.

Contract Details

  • Contract: Permanent
  • Salary: £37,751 – £41,810 per annum, dependent on experience.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, with some flexibility to work on weekends, evenings and bank holidays to support the needs of the service.

About You

You will be a motivated and proactive leader with a passion for supporting people to achieve positive outcomes. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, you will bring experience, confidence and a hands‑on approach to building a high‑quality service and supporting a new team to succeed.

Qualifications

  • Management experience within supported accommodation, housing management or a similar role.
  • Experience of setting up and mobilising a new service.
  • Experience of supporting, managing and developing a team.
  • Experience of risk assessment, support planning, outcome monitoring and risk management.
  • Understanding of the housing and welfare benefits system.
  • Experience of managing and progressing safeguarding concerns.
  • Strong organisational skills and experience maintaining accurate records.
  • Flexible, solution‑focused approach and commitment to high‑quality service delivery will be essential to success in this role.

As part of this role includes attending meetings, training and other events, and supports the on‑call rota, you may need to support other services in an emergency outside your normal working hours, so a full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
