A consultative sales role supporting schools with inclusive assistive technology. Are you passionate about education and motivated by helping schools find solutions that genuinely improve outcomes for learners? If you enjoy conversations, problem-solving, and building relationships – and want to develop your commercial skills in a supportive, values-led environment – this could be a great fit.
The company creates award-winning writing support software used by thousands of schools worldwide. Their mission is simple: every child can be a writer. Built around accessibility and inclusion, their technology supports learners with dyslexia, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and additional needs. Trusted by educators and widely regarded as the gold standard in literacy software, their products make a meaningful difference in classrooms every day.
You’ll be the main point of contact for all customers within an agreed region, with a clear focus on generating, developing, and converting new business opportunities for the company. No day is ever the same – from hosting top tips webinars, to chatting to delegates at a buzzing exhibition, to introducing schools to the transformative power of their products at staff meetings – there’s always an exciting challenge on the horizon. If you’re a confident communicator with plenty of drive and enthusiasm – we want to hear from you!
You will be part of a supportive team and will be involved in the full sales cycle, including telephone calls, online meetings, quoting, and closing. Throughout, you will have access to technical and educational specialists to provide you with a full understanding of the software and its place within the education system.
Key responsibilities:- Identify and develop new sales opportunities across your region.
- Understand school needs and recommend the right solutions.
- Deliver compelling product discovery meetings (online and in-person).
- Manage opportunities through the full sales journey, from first conversation to close.
- Build positive relationships that reflect the company’s values and reputation.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and CRM records.
- Work closely with the team to share insight and ideas.
- Prepare professional proposals, quotes and other documentation as required.
- Attend events and follow up on interest generated.
- Schools feel listened to, supported, and confident in their decisions.
- A healthy, well-managed pipeline of new opportunities.
- Consistent achievement of sales targets through relationship-led selling.
You’ll be well-suited if you:
- Have a background in education (e.g. teaching) or experience in an education-facing sales or customer-focused role within the sector.
- Enjoy speaking with teachers and school leaders and building rapport.
- Are comfortable with targets, but motivated by helping people rather than pushing products.
- Are organised, proactive, and good at managing multiple conversations.
- Learn quickly and enjoy developing new skills.
- Are confident using technology.
- Experience selling into schools is helpful, but not essential. Many successful people in this role come from teaching or other educational backgrounds.
- £30-£35k base salary.
- Rewarding commission package.
- Hybrid working (WFH Tuesdays & Fridays).
- 28 days holiday + bank holidays + 3 personal days when needed, i.e., for a duvet day – we all need one sometimes!

- Enjoy varied, impactful work where no two days are the same.
- Regular social events and charity involvement.
