Are you a talented, super-ambitious full-stack developer? Excited by building solutions to real-world challenges? Motivated by owning shares in a high-growth business? Want to join a team of smart, committed, and highly functioning professionals? This might be the role for you!
Our client is an ambitious, fast-growing EdTech disruptor. They exist to create a world where educators are liberated from administrative burdens and empowered to focus entirely on what matters most—nurturing the potential of every student. Their mission is to unify the fragmented landscape of school technology through intelligent, human-centred design. By replacing disconnected silo systems with one seamless platform, they restore joy to teaching, strengthen connections between schools and families, and empower students to take ownership of their learning journey.
They started by transforming how music departments are managed and quickly became the market leader. Now, they’re scaling that approach across schools more broadly, building tools that bring activities, communication, and data together into a single intuitive platform. Their distinctiveness lies in their world-class technical talent, producing elegant software solutions, a profound passion for education's transformative potential beyond the core curriculum, and their impatience with inefficient systems that hinder children's potential. They move fast, listen carefully to users, and value people who take initiative.
They’re hiring their second full-stack developer to work closely with their experienced Lead Developer and CPO to supercharge their development capacity. The role will involve quickly building and evolving areas of the platform, with a focus on customer success. This role is central to enhancing platform adoption, and to this end, the first few months will be spent working closely with schools to help onboard, train and increase adoption. The role comes with a high degree of ownership and will be rewarding for an individual who can proactively apply their technical prowess to adapt our platform to help customers.
Key Responsibilities- Pursue excellence in rapid product development: Use all means at your disposal to write excellent code and increase value for the teachers, parents and students using the platform.
- Pursue excellence in customer success: During the initial 3-month period, proactively increase platform adoption and engagement, ensuring customers fully leverage it to manage their school. Continue with this mindset as a full member of the product development team.
- Team fit and agility: Engage in product and customer-focused discussions within the team, collaboratively solving puzzles and balancing needs between different priority areas.
- Platform support: Provide technical support as needed, ensuring rapid, effective issue resolution to enhance satisfaction and drive platform adoption.
This role is suited to someone seeking more than just a job. It is suited to someone who wants a stake in a business and is relentless in the pursuit of growth.
