Long hours debugging production issues of uncertain origin. Constant context-switching between product, infrastructure, and that one customer whose data never quite fits the schema. React TypeScript required — no exceptions. Frontends that must look beautiful on screens ranging from a headteacher’s ancient Dell to a parent’s cracked iPhone SE.
In the event of success: a product used by real schools, real kids, and real teachers who will send you surprisingly heartfelt emails and sometimes doughnuts. The knowledge that your PRs actually ship. Apply only if you are comfortable with ambiguity, disagree-and-commit, and the phrase “well it didn’t work on my phone”.
Our client is a fast-growing EdTech company on a mission to fix the chaos of school management. Schools are juggling siloed systems that don’t talk to each other – creating duplication, frustration, and wasted time. The company is changing that with one AI-powered platform covering everything from club sign-ups and attendance to parental consent, medical data for trips, and real-time notifications. They started by dominating music department management and are now scaling that approach across schools. Over 260 schools are already on board – and they’re building towards 1,000.
The team is close-knit, ambitious, and based in a modern office in Vauxhall. They’re hiring their second full-stack developer to work directly with an experienced Lead Developer and CPO. Write excellent code, ship fast, and deliver real value to the teachers, parents, and students using the platform. Engage fully in product and customer discussions, helping prioritise and balance competing demands across a fast-moving roadmap.
Technical support: This role is for someone who wants more than a job — someone who wants a stake in what they’re building and won’t stop until it’s great.
