The role
They’re looking for a really driven and ambitious professional who is passionate about education to join their team as Account Manager. You’ll cover schools across the Midlands and South West of England, and responsibilities include:
- Be an ambassador for the company and fully own your client account portfolio
- Effectively build professional and trusting relationships with schools and Multi-Academy Trusts
- Manage client objections and expectations confidently when discussing service provision
- Work with the wider team to help improve the provision of IT in client schools and develop strategies that will improve education outcomes through technology
- Apply proactive sales strategies, ensuring client needs are met and sales opportunities are maximised to meet product, service and recurring revenue targets
- Make regular contact with clients to ensure services are being delivered satisfactorily, including post-project follow-up calls
- Develop an expert knowledge of the company’s current IT solutions, products and services.
- Produce quotations and proposals for existing clients and new business opportunities
- Respond to new sales enquiries and leads from vendor partners
- Manage agreements and the renewal process for all recurring services, exploring opportunities to enhance the current levels of service
- Win referrals and positive social media responses through excellent service and promote the company’s values in all communications
- Maintain Company records and pipeline Opportunities to provide excellent visibility of future business
- Participate in regular strategy meetings with key clients
- Contribute to and pursue personal development plans with managers
The package
- £30,000-35,000 base salary

To be successful, you will…
- Have previous experience in account management
- Have an understanding of and interest in the education landscape
- Have excellent computer literacy and a sound understanding of IT
- Have excellent knowledge of CRM platforms to maximise opportunities
- Be able to build and manage a meaningful pipeline of opportunities
- Be able to prioritise your time efficiently
- Be confident in presenting to key clients and leading meetings with senior stakeholders
- Be able to manage difficult relationships professionally and effectively, with the needs of the customer at the forefront
- Be able to identify opportunities and strategies to improve sales processes
