This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional, whether part–qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or fully qualified, to join a highly acquisitive American–owned organisation with significant growth plans across the UK and internationally.
Reporting directly to the UK Head of Finance, you will take ownership of the finance function for two established business units, providing meaningful financial insight, supporting operational decision‑making and helping drive business performance. The business continues to invest heavily through acquisition and organic growth, creating genuine opportunities for career progression both within the UK operation and across the wider international group for the right individual.
The Role
As Management Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial information whilst partnering with operational stakeholders across the business. Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting for two business units
- Ownership of month‑end close processes and associated reporting
- Balance sheet reconciliations and financial control activities
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
- Providing commercial analysis and performance reporting to operational teams
- Business partnering with production, sales and procurement functions
- Analysing labour, material and overhead costs to improve profitability
- Supporting strategic projects, investment appraisals and business growth initiatives
- Driving improvements to financial processes, systems and reporting
- Supporting audit requirements and maintaining strong financial controls
About You
We are keen to speak with candidates who possess:
- ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification (part‑qualified, finalist or fully qualified)
- Previous experience within a Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant position
- Strong analytical and commercial skills
- Advanced Excel capability and experience of financial systems
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, ambitious approach with a desire to develop and progress
- Manufacturing, engineering or product‑based business experience would be advantageous but is not essential
