Are you an experienced quality, compliance or technical assurance professional looking to bring your skills to some of the UK's most unique and technically challenging engineering assets? Our client delivers inspection, maintenance, support and lifecycle management services for kinetic architecture, specialist handling systems and hydraulic solutions. They are looking for an Assurance Supervisor to join their team and play a key role in ensuring that maintenance, inspection, repair and modification activities are delivered safely, consistently, and in line with company standards, customer requirements and regulatory obligations.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing assurance that maintenance, inspection, repair and asset improvement work is delivered in accordance with approved procedures and engineering standards
  • Conducting audits and compliance reviews across workshop, site and field-based activities
  • Reviewing maintenance records, inspection reports, certifications and work packs for accuracy and completeness
  • Verifying that maintenance and inspection activities on retractable and concertina roof systems meet required technical standards
  • Investigating and closing out non-conformances, lessons learned and corrective actions
  • Supporting document control, configuration management and engineering change control
  • Acting as a focal point for quality, assurance and compliance matters with customers and stakeholders
  • Promoting a culture of safety, compliance, quality and accountability, and driving continuous improvement

What we're looking for:

  • Experience within an engineering maintenance, asset management, infrastructure or specialist engineering environment
  • Background in quality assurance, compliance, technical assurance or operational governance
  • Solid understanding of maintenance processes, inspection regimes and engineering documentation
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and audit principles
  • Experience investigating defects, non-conformances or operational issues and implementing corrective actions
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office and electronic document management systems

Desirable (not essential):

  • Experience with CDM compliance and management; CDM qualifications
  • SMSTS or SSSTS
  • Experience with hydraulic, mechanical, kinetic or moving structural systems
  • ISO 9001 knowledge and experience
  • Background in infrastructure, specialist structures, transport, defence or other regulated engineering sectors
  • HNC/HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline
