Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Electrical Building Services Engineer to lead, inspire, and drive the success of our electrical engineering services team. In this pivotal role, you will manage high-profile projects, contribute to growth, and ensure quality, efficiency, and sustainability in every phase of project development. This position requires technical expertise, a visionary approach to design, and exceptional leadership to meet the evolving needs of our clients and the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy: Provide visionary leadership and mentorship to a team of electrical engineers, contributing to team development and ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Project Management: Oversee the delivery of complex projects from concept through to completion, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance with industry standards, and adherence to budget and timeline.
  • Technical Expertise: Lead electrical building services design, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, data, and building automation systems, ensuring high standards of sustainability and innovation.
  • Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, fostering strong relationships, understanding project needs, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain rigorous quality control throughout project stages, conducting technical reviews and driving continuous improvement processes.
  • Sustainability Focus: Integrate energy-efficient, low-carbon design principles into all aspects of electrical engineering, promoting sustainable solutions that align with modern regulatory standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and contractors, to ensure cohesive, optimised project outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
  • Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in electrical building services engineering, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of building services design principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Expertise in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design tools.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing large-scale, multidisciplinary projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
