The Role
Connected Places Catapult has recently undergone a transformation to realign our organisational design to our organisational strategy. A significant part of this has been to ensure we have the right skills in the right places supported by the right systems and processes.
The Change Management and Continuous Improvement lead is a new role to CPC. Having reviewed and launched a new design, we are moving into a period of transition and embedding, along with identifying and implementing further change to support our growth.
The CM&CI lead will play a central role in helping us set and maintain a simple and effective change management framework to ensure we introduce, prepare, and support colleagues through future changes. They will also play a crucial role in helping us balance the priority and timing of improvements to the way we work as an organisation.
This role will work closely with our Process Improvement Lead, Knowledge Management Lead, and key Business Unit Operations Heads to coordinate changes that add the most value to CPC. Collaborating with the team and colleagues across the business, the role is responsible for guiding and shaping continuous improvement and change management activities that will ensure the ongoing success of CPC. Their expertise will ensure that Business Unit leaders are equipped to manage their respective continuous improvement and change management.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing Change
- Provide continuity of the Transformation Programme (TxP) outcomes of change management into business as usual using the developed Change Management Framework
- Support business leads and colleagues to collaboratively develop interventions to mitigate business disruption and support participation and adoption
- Develop tools and techniques to measure the success of change and provide insight and guidance to the senior leadership team and process improvement lead for areas that may benefit from change.
- Work with the Senior Leadership team and Strategy and Portfolio teams to identify and plan for changes to improve business capability and operations
- Design and implement a methodology for continuous improvement adoption and management
- Ensure colleagues in CPC know how to manage the impacts of change, actively seek to ensure change impacts are fully understood and well managed
- Assist CPC to become more resilient to change by sharing best practices and creating space to explore change as a personal skill
- Work closely with colleague groups and learning and development teams to ensure all staff have access to key skills in change management

- Ensure an ethos of equity, inclusivity, and diversity underpin your work activity, contribute to inclusive innovation across all Catapult activities
- You may be required to undertake any other reasonable duties to support the Catapult in achieving its strategic outcomes and ensure effective business operations
