The Infrastructure Delivery Programme Management Office (PMO) sits within Environment & Highways directorate and supports the delivery of a half a billion-pound plus capital infrastructure programme over the coming years.
About the Role
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a key role in enabling high-quality decision-making across our Infrastructure Delivery service. Working within the PMO, you'll take the lead in managing and analysing datasets, developing our data architecture, and ensuring accurate, clear and decision-ready information is available to stakeholders. Communication is essential in this role: you will collaborate closely with colleagues in IT, Digital, Finance, and wider service delivery teams to build effective reporting structures. You’ll translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences, deliver training, run user workshops and support continuous improvement activity. This role can offer flexibility in working pattern and location to suit applicants. We welcome applications from diverse backgrounds.
About You
You’ll bring at least three years' experience as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst, with strong skills in MS Power BI, and experience using tools such as Python, R or SQL to automate data processes. Your analytical capability will be matched by excellent numeracy, communication and problem-solving skills. You are confident interpreting data, presenting insights and engaging stakeholders at all levels. You enjoy improving systems and processes, delivering training, and making the complex simple for different audiences. You are highly organised, self-motivated, detail-focused and able to work both independently and as part of a team. A passion for continuous improvement and delivering excellent customer service will help you thrive in this role.
