Lead the Future of Adult Support in Walsall
Walsall Council is investing in a bold new commissioning model that puts people and place at the heart of service design. As part of this transformation, we’re recruiting a Head of Commissioning – Live Well to lead commissioning for adults aged 14–65, including learning disabilities, mental health, housing support, employment, and unpaid carers.
This is a key leadership role in our integrated commissioning team, working closely with health, housing, and voluntary sector partners to deliver innovative, person-centred support that promotes independence and wellbeing.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead commissioning for adults with complex needs, including mental health and learning disabilities.
- Develop and implement an All-Age Carers Strategy.
- Shape services that promote early help, prevention, and community based support.
- Analyse data and market capacity to inform future service models.
- Drive quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate across sectors to deliver integrated, impactful support.
We\’re seeking a strategic, collaborative leader with:
