We’re seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking Director for Public Health to drive systemwide change and deliver better outcomes for our 330,000 residents.
As Director of Public Health, you will lead Dudley’s public health strategy, tackling entrenched health inequalities and embedding prevention and wellbeing across the council and wider system.
Responsibilities- Lead Dudley’s public health strategy, tackling entrenched health inequalities and embedding prevention and wellbeing across the council and wider system.
- Work in close partnership with the NHS, UKHSA, ICS/ICB and the voluntary sector; steward a £25m+ Public Health Grant, lead health protection and resilience, and drive system-wide change.
- Provide senior leadership across the full public health remit with political acumen and system leadership capability; drive improved outcomes for diverse communities.
- Registered public health specialist with significant senior leadership experience across the full public health remit, bringing strong political acumen, system leadership capability and a deep commitment to improving outcomes for diverse communities.
