You have an opportunity to be part of this in the role of Respite Support Worker. Eden Lodge and Wickett Hern Road are registered services which provide respite for adults who have a learning disability and or associated physical disabilities. The properties comprise of 8 ground floor bedrooms and ten 1st floor bedrooms in total.
As part of the team at Respite Services, the respite support worker will ensure that patterns of care and support within the shift are based on the principles of good quality care, ensuring that safeguarding legislation is maintained and reflecting control, cleanliness, comfort, safety, participation, involvement, privacy, dignity and choice. As the respite support worker of this respite service, you will have the responsibility to provide a high-quality service as required by the Care Quality Commission and Doncaster contractual residential standards.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to guests within respite services, in accordance with the Care Quality Commission and Doncaster contractual residential standards.
- Ensure that patterns of care and support within shifts reflect the principles of good quality care, safeguarding, and the values of control, cleanliness, comfort, safety, participation, involvement, privacy, dignity and choice.
- Work as part of a calm, resourceful and energetic team; follow agreed guidelines; contribute to a consistent, mutually supportive environment.
- Calm, resourceful and energetic individual who is well motivated, hardworking and keen to join a friendly team.
- Provide person-centred care and support; skills in positive communication and engagement; demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the people supported and grow in confidence as a practitioner.
- Ability to follow agreed guidelines and to work positively within a consistent, mutually supportive team.
