Connected Kerb is delivering change for good at a societal level as part of the transition to electric vehicles. The business is scaling and expanding into new sectors and territories and now needs to leverage its buying power to make the Bill of Materials, production and assembly costs more competitive. The business has grown rapidly and has moved quickly, setting up a supply chain system with many suppliers that deliver a high-quality product at a good factory gate price but there is opportunity to rationalize, streamline and consolidate buying of parts, the design, assembly and services. This is an exciting role with the opportunity to significantly contribute to delivering Connected Kerb's strategic growth ambitions with the reward of seeing the fruits of your efforts in prominent locations, being used daily by the public and businesses, nationally and globally.

As part of the Technology Team, you will work closely with the Chief Technology Officer and Head of Technology across our entire product line and support the team in the UK and Internationally. A contract position for now, the business will learn with you offering an exciting opportunity to deliver meaningful impact and discuss future opportunities.

Key Responsibilities and Objectives of the Role
  • Ensure contracts are in place with all suppliers to take us forward and which cover the full scope of our requirements.
  • Deliver commercial wins in the existing Bill of Materials to achieve savings to target.
  • Propose a phased rationalisation program of the supply base to bring efficiencies and scale.
  • Negotiate pricing, with technical expertise, ready for scale beyond 2026.
Requirements
  • 5 years proven purchasing experience delivering savings, efficiencies and growth in electrical products, automotive, or an electric/mechanical organisation.
  • Familiarity with electrical suppliers essential (Please list existing experience).
  • Familiarity with electric vehicle charging infrastructure desirable.
  • 5 years within an electrical technical production/procurement team.
  • Self-motivated, target driven and passionate.
  • Familiar with procurement processes & techniques, quality management systems and supplier operations.
  • Familiar with digital systems to drive the role (e.g. MS Dynamics, PIM, PDM).
  • Capable to interpret detailed design drawings or component specifications drawing out comparisons across parts and making technical recommendations which deliver on both price and performance.
