Job Description
Data Governance Manager/ Data Governance Lead.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Governance Manager / Lead to join our client on their data transformation journey.
This is a newly created role within the organisation and will give you the opportunity to put your own stamp in setting the vision and roadmap for data governance, defining & monitoring data quality frameworks and maintaining governance & policy standards.
The role will require strategy (developing policies, standards, and an operating model)with a close collaboration approach across business units to meet regulatory requirements and unlock the value of analytics.
You will lead the data operating model ,ensuring compliance with ISO, GDPR, will support the rollout of governance tools and will provide leadership and mentoring to a small team.
We’re looking for candidates with
- Significant experience in leading data governance, data management, or risk roles
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practise
- Proven track record rolling out data quality frameworks and governance policies
- Deep Knowledge of introducing and applying DAMA-DMBOK, ISO, DCAM, or equivalent frameworks
- Strategic thinking , systems orientation and familiarity with modern data platforms.
- Self-starter with excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and interpersonal skills
Our client operates a hybrid working model and due to the nature of the role and the early stages of the programme, 2 days per week onsite presence will be required.
