The predicted salary is between 60000 - 75000 £ per year.
We are looking for a Senior IT Project Manager with strong technical delivery capability, as well as excellent people management skills. You will join the organisation at a time of major business and IT transformational activity, and take ownership of end-to-end project delivery, as well as developing and mentoring team members as part of the extended management team.
The role-holder will act as the technical workstream lead and be hands-on in the delivery of large and complex projects, and will need to be confident and credible when managing challenging business stakeholders at all levels of seniority. Experience of vendor management will also be key to this role, so the ability to effectively manage supplier performance under SoW and/or call-off frameworks will be required.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:
- Proven experience of delivering transformational IT and data projects, specifically digital development, programmes, projects, workstreams and managing associated teams
- Experience in Change /Business Improvement with a track record of delivering technical solutions in tool adoption and ways of working
- Tangible stakeholder management experience and skills with the ability to build relationships and influence across the business
- Experience of managing external consultants/suppliers under a statement of works (SOW) and/or call-off frameworks
- Strong project management skills including dealing with several projects, workstreams and stakeholders with competing deadlines and priorities
- Professional qualifications e.g. Programme Management, APMP, Prince2 in practitioner Levels, Agile PM
- Ability to plan proactively, can do attitude and strong attention to detail
- Outstanding communication skills with ability to communicate complex messages to different levels of audience
- Experience in line management and leadership of teams
This will be a 24 month Fixed Term Contract with a start date at the end of May. Hybrid working with 1-2 days per week in Birmingham.
