Job Purpose

The Junior Business Systems & Data Analyst will play an important role in supporting the organisation's business systems, reporting capability and digital transformation initiatives.

Working closely with operational teams and senior stakeholders, you will help transform business data into meaningful insights, improve system performance, identify opportunities for automation and AI, and support the successful delivery of technology projects across the organisation.

This role offers excellent exposure to business intelligence, cloud technologies, AI, business systems and project delivery, making it an ideal opportunity for someone wishing to develop a career within healthcare technology.

Business Systems Support

  • Act as a superuser for Connected Health's core business systems, including rostering, HR, finance and operational platforms.
  • Provide first-line support and guidance to system users across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve system issues, working closely with internal stakeholders and third-party software providers.
  • Assist with system configuration, testing, upgrades and implementation of new functionality.
  • Produce and maintain system documentation, user guides and knowledge articles.
  • Deliver system training and promote best practice across the organisation.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to maximise efficiency and user experience.

Data Analytics & Business Intelligence

  • Collect, validate, cleanse and analyse data from multiple business systems.
  • Design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
  • Produce scheduled and ad hoc reports to support operational, financial and strategic decision-making.
  • Analyse trends, identify anomalies and provide actionable recommendations to improve business performance.
  • Support the development of automated reporting and business intelligence solutions.
  • Assist with data integration, transformation and cloud-based reporting solutions.

AI & Digital Innovation

  • Research emerging Artificial Intelligence technologies and identify opportunities for practical application within the business.
  • Support the implementation of AI-powered reporting, predictive analytics and workflow automation initiatives.
  • Assist in developing automation using Microsoft Power Platform technologies.
  • Evaluate opportunities to simplify manual processes through technology.
  • Contribute to pilot projects exploring AI and digital innovation across Connected Health.
  • Promote a culture of continuous innovation and digital improvement.

Business Analysis & Process Improvement

  • Work collaboratively with operational, finance, HR and clinical teams to understand business requirements.
  • Analyse business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology.
  • Document business requirements, workflows and process improvements.
  • Support the delivery of digital transformation projects from planning through to implementation.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.

Data Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with UK GDPR, EU GDPR and organisational information governance policies.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive company and service user data.
  • Promote high standards of data quality, security and governance.
  • Support data validation and quality assurance activities across business systems.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Information Systems or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical users.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive and eager to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable

  • Experience using Microsoft Power BI.
  • Knowledge of SQL.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with Power Automate or Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Knowledge of AI technologies such as Microsoft Copilot or Azure AI.
  • Experience supporting business systems such as OneTouch, iTrent, NetSuite or similar ERP/rostering platforms.
  • Understanding of healthcare, homecare or social care environments.
  • Microsoft certifications (Power BI, Azure or AI Fundamentals).
