About The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant you are responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care to clients while ensuring safe and effective service standards are maintained. You will oversee care runs, monitor calls, support staff induction and shadowing, and assist with emergency and on-call cover, including weekends and in the absence of the Area Manager. Working closely with the Area Care Manager, you will help maintain accurate client care records, complete monthly care folder reviews, carry out risk assessments, and report any concerns appropriately. You will also ensure care staff have access to necessary PPE, uphold confidentiality, and comply with all company policies and procedures. Ongoing training and development, along with any additional duties required, are also key aspects of the role.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 6 months' experience in a formal care setting
  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken English
  • Full driver's license and access to your own insured vehicle for business purposes

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 2 in Care or equivalent
  • NISCC registration or willingness to register

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Will be expected to have empathy, understanding and a caring attitude
  • Provide a high quality standard of care to our company clients
  • Responsible for click over of care runs
  • Monitoring calls
  • To participate in the on-call phone on working weekend as required and to cover in the absence of Area Manager
  • To participate in the shadowing and 12-week induction of all new staff for designated area, ensuring that all documentation is completed and submitted to Area Manager on the deadlines provided
  • To effectively report any Staff or Client concerns, grievances and complaints to Area Manager
  • To ensure that all Care Staff have a supply of protective items (aprons and gloves) as required
  • To be co-responsible along with the Area Manager for the review and maintenance of client care folders on a monthly basis. Ensuring that all details are up-to-date and of a high standard
  • Carry out Client risk assessments and report promptly to Area Manager
  • To maintain confidentiality in accordance to the Company Handbook
  • To comply with policies and procedures contained in Connected Health Policies and Procedures Manuals including the Connected Health Company Handbook
  • To participate in emergency cover as required
  • To participate in training and further development as required
  • Any other duties applicable to the post as requested by Management.
