Our client is a leading UK provider of industrial equipment and services, and part of a larger international group. They're looking for a Regional General Manager to take full ownership of a branch operation of around 16 employees across operations, sales, service and workshop functions - with complete P&L accountability for the site.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building structure and driving performance in a business with real heritage and a loyal, long-serving team. You'll balance the commercial (budgets, forecasting, margin, growth) with the operational (safety, compliance, delivery, quality) and the people side (coaching, accountability, conflict resolution).
What you'll be doing:
- Leading and managing the branch with full profit and loss responsibility
- Developing and executing strategic and operational plans to grow the business
- Managing budgets, resource allocation and financial performance against KPIs
- Building a culture of safety, accountability and customer focus
- Recruiting, developing and managing your team, including performance and conflict resolution
- Overseeing project costing, margin control and on-time delivery
- Acting as site lead for health, safety and environmental compliance (LOLER, PUWER, HSE)
- Identifying opportunities to grow project work and hire fleet utilisation
- Serving as the senior escalation point for key customers and project issues
What we're looking for:

- Commercially astute, with confidence reading financial statements and managing budgets
