Overview

We’re seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join a leading UK engineering organisation working on exciting and technically challenging projects. This role covers defence, nuclear, aerospace, sports, and large-scale infrastructure, delivering complex mechanical handling and kinetic architecture systems.

Flexible start and finish times around core hours.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project budgets, track spend, and prepare cost reports
  • Forecast future costs and provide accurate commercial insight
  • Review and administer contracts, ensuring compliance and managing variations
  • Negotiate pricing and support change control processes
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options to drive efficiencies
  • Collaborate with technical teams to deliver cost-effective solutions
  • Provide stakeholders with clear updates on budgets and commercial performance

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong analytical skills with an understanding of construction/engineering practices
  • Experience with NEC and JCT contracts (NEC experience is particularly valued)
  • Commercial experience in engineering or large structural projects (defence, nuclear, bridges, infrastructure etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in relevant software and project management tools
