Connected Engineering has been exclusively retained on a key requirement for a forward-thinking and professional Engineering & Design Consultancy based in Sheffield. This firm has been growing steadily over recent years and has a catalogue of clients in Healthcare, Education, Leisure, Housing and more, including both Commercial and Residential projects. Due to business success, we are searching for a skilled Principle/ Associate Electrical Design engineer. This role is crucial to my client, particularly in stimulating future growth. It is therefore of the utmost importance that the successful candidate is motivated to develop on their skills and experience. To incentivise this, directorship and shareholding are available following success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the successful delivery of complex projects
  • Provide technical expertise across the business
  • Develop and enforce robust QA procedures
  • Project Design review
  • Project Management
  • Budget Management
  • Procurement of new work
  • Negotiating contracts with clients and suppliers
  • Develop a high-performing team: Including recruitment, appraisal, and training

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
  • Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is preferred (CEng)
  • Expertise in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or other electrical design tools.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing large-scale, multidisciplinary projects.
