Responsibilities:
- Lead the electrical engineering design of hydropower projects, including generators, control and instrumentation systems, protection, substations and transmission lines.
- Perform the design, model and analysis of electrical and electronic systems to ensure project success aligned to industry standards.
Required skills and experience:
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status (IET).
- Hands-on experience of working on High Voltage (HV) electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with large rotating machines (generators or motors), hydro or pumped storage hydro systems.
- Experience of producing / interpreting design drawings and documents including single line diagrams, key line diagrams, block cable diagrams, load schedules, specifications and design of solutions.
- Ability to present technical ideas.
Please note, hybrid working places are in place for this role, with occasional site visits.
