Do you love highland scenery and outdoor adventure; alongside working in a heavy engineering environment making things safer, smarter and more reliable? We’re on the hunt for a Maintenance Department Engineer (Mechanical bias) in delivering planned and reactive maintenance while helping build a strong, reliability‑focused culture on site.
This is an office‑based role (Monday to Thursday 07:30–16:00 & Friday 07:30 to 12:30) with real on‑the‑ground impact. You’ll work closely with operations and maintenance teams, leading weekly maintenance plans, coaching engineers and apprentices, and driving improvements across the site.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and delivering weekly maintenance schedules using CMMS
- Managing trades, apprentices and external contractors
- Championing health, safety and environmental standards
- Supporting fault finding, reliability projects and new equipment installs
- Coaching and developing a skilled, safety‑first engineering team
What we’re looking for:
- Strong mechanical maintenance experience in a heavy engineering or process environment
- Solid knowledge of H&S legislation and safe systems of work
- HNC (or above) in Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Confidence leading people and influencing a reliability‑driven mindset
- COMAH experience is a bonus
