Position Overview: The Design Engineer role is responsible for designing and optimizing wireless infrastructure, including radio networks, antennas, and transmission systems, to meet coverage, capacity, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:- Develop and review designs for wireless telecom projects including site layouts, schematics, and equipment configurations.
- Perform radio planning and RF propagation modelling for 4G/5G and other wireless technologies.
- Assess site surveys and environmental constraints to inform design solutions.
- Liaise with vendors and field teams to ensure build feasibility and compliance with standards.
- Produce detailed CAD drawings, bills of materials, and documentation for construction and installation.
- Validate network performance metrics through simulations and post-deployment testing.
- Collaborate with Design managers and overseas departments throughout the project.
- Strong understanding of RF engineering, cell planning, and site acquisition workflows.
- Experience with design tools like AutoCAD, GIS, and propagation software (e.g., Atoll, Planet).
- Knowledge of relevant wireless technologies and standards (e.g. LTE, 5G, IoT).
- Ideally previous experience in VMo2 projects, but not essential.
- Familiarity with telecoms regulations, health and safety requirements, and design codes.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Professional certification in wireless systems or network design is a plus.
