Connect 44 is looking for a Wireless Telecoms Build Manager to join our growing Build Team. The ideal candidate can lead the successful delivery of wireless infrastructure projects. They should oversee site construction and upgrades for mobile networks, ensuring they’re completed on time, within budget, and meet company and client quality and safety standards.
Main activities and tasks:
- Manage end-to-end site build activities including planning, construction, and integration of wireless telecoms infrastructure.
- Coordinate with internal leadership and support teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth delivery of build projects.
- Conduct site surveys, assess risks, and ensure all health and safety standards are met.
- Continued update of company and client portal systems.
- Obtain quotes, collaboratively with the QS submit tenders and complete final account submissions, maintaining the best margin achievable.
- Develop and maintain build schedules, project documentation, and on the day reporting.
- Resolve on-site issues swiftly and efficiently to keep builds progressing.
- Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, environmental policies, and client specifications.
- Assist with collection and storing of Handover pack evidence.
- Track quality assurance for build works and implement corrective actions where required.
Required Education & Trainings:
- Roof top training.
- Radio Frequency awareness training.
- First aid at work.
- Valid certifications in Health & Safety (e.g., SMSTS, NEBOSH, IOSH Managing safely) are highly desirable.
Required Experience:
- Proven experience in wireless telecoms build management—ideally in 4G/5G deployment projects.
- Strong knowledge of telecoms site infrastructure including towers, rooftops, and street works.
- Excellent understanding of rigging and electrical schematics and a good understanding of telecoms civils requirements.
- Familiarity with build permitting, H&S compliance, and local planning requirements.
- Skilled in project scheduling tools (e.g., Excel, or bespoke platforms).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to delegate workflow to support team.
- Ability to manage multiple sites across different regions.
