Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm with some flexibility required

Salary: Β£29,000 – Β£33,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About Us

We are a growing multi-utility contractor delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions across a range of utility projects. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an organised and proactive Senior Utilities Coordinator to join our team. This is a varied role that combines streetworks permit coordination, project administration, and general office support. Working closely with operational teams, clients, local authorities, and traffic management providers, you will play a key role in ensuring projects remain compliant and are delivered efficiently.

The Role

As our Senior Utilities Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing streetworks permits and notices while providing administrative support throughout the lifecycle of utility projects. You will ensure statutory requirements are met, deadlines are achieved, and project information is maintained accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit Section 50 licence applications to local authorities.
  • Apply for and manage all streetworks permits in line with project programmes.
  • Monitor permit applications and liaise with local authorities to resolve queries.
  • Submit and manage all NRSWA notices, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Issue start, stop, and other statutory notices within required timescales.
  • Complete R1 submissions accurately and on time.
  • Maintain accurate whereabouts records and associated documentation.
  • Request traffic management drawings and plans from approved providers.
  • Book traffic management for planned works and coordinate schedules with operational teams.
  • Maintain accurate permit and notice records using relevant management systems.

Project Administration

  • Gather pre-construction information for prospective projects.
  • Liaise with clients regarding project programmes and delivery updates.
  • Provide administrative support to operational teams throughout project delivery.

General Office Duties

  • Monitor the Connect3UK general enquiries inbox.
  • Provide administrative support to management and operational staff.
  • Assist with other administrative duties to support the wider business.

About You

Essential

  • Previous experience in a permit coordination, streetworks, or utilities administration role.
  • Good understanding of NRSWA requirements and local authority permit processes.
  • Experience submitting streetworks notices and managing permit applications.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with clients, local authorities, and suppliers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Desirable

  • Experience using Street Manager, Symology, or similar streetworks management systems.
  • Experience within the utilities or civil engineering sector.
  • Knowledge of traffic management coordination and Section 50 licensing.
