Are you an organised, proactive administrator with excellent communication skills? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where your work makes a real difference? We are looking for a SEND Officer to join our dedicated SEND Team.

About the Role

As a SEND Officer, you will provide essential administrative support to the SEND Team, ensuring the smooth delivery of services for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the SEND Team inbox, prioritising and responding to enquiries appropriately.
  • Processing children and young people moving into and out of the local authority, ensuring records are updated accurately and promptly.
  • Responding to general enquiries from families, schools and professionals, providing clear and timely information.
  • Recording financial decisions and actions arising from Multi-Agency Team Discussion (MATD) meetings, maintaining accurate records and supporting follow-up actions.
  • Maintaining confidential records and ensuring compliance with data protection requirements.
  • Providing general administrative support to the wider SEND Team as required.
