Make a Difference Where It Matters Most. Are you an experienced and inspirational leader in children's social care, passionate about safeguarding children and improving outcomes for families? We are looking for an exceptional Service Manager to lead our multi-agency Family Safeguarding Hub. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will shape decision-making at the front door of Children's Services, ensuring vulnerable children receive the right support at the right time through effective partnership working and strong professional leadership.
About the Role
As Service Manager, you will lead a highly skilled multi-agency team, working alongside colleagues from Children's Services, Early Help, Police, Health and wider safeguarding partners to ensure timely, effective and proportionate responses to concerns about children. You will drive service performance, quality assurance and continuous improvement, creating a culture of excellence that delivers positive outcomes for children, young people and families. You'll also play a key role in developing innovative practice, embedding relationship-based approaches and strengthening partnerships across the safeguarding system.
Leadership & Resource Management
You will lead and develop a team of specialist professionals and advisors within the Family Safeguarding Hub, creating a culture of high performance, accountability and continuous improvement. Through effective leadership, coaching and support, you will empower teams to deliver excellent safeguarding outcomes for children and families. In addition, you will have responsibility for a staffing budget of approximately £1.5 million, ensuring resources are managed effectively to maximise service delivery and value for money.
