The LD&A Social Worker will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality social work support to individuals with learning disabilities and autism. This role involves assessing the needs of service users, ensuring their care and support are well-coordinated, and advocating for their rights and choices, all while adhering to relevant legislation and best practice guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of the Care Act 2014, and other relevant legislation.
  • Understanding of person-centred approaches and how to implement them in practice.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding principles and procedures.

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualification: Recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., BA or MA in Social Work).
  • SWE Registration
  • Experience: Experience working with adults with mental health issues, ideally in a community or clinical setting.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, assessment, and case management skills.
  • Personal qualities: Compassionate, resilient, and committed to working with vulnerable individuals. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Car Driver: A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is required for this role.
