About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our teams in Surrey County Council. In this role, you will work with individuals, families, and communities to promote wellbeing, safeguard vulnerable people, and support positive outcomes. You will carry a caseload appropriate to your level of experience and contribute to high-quality, person-centred social work practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake assessments of children, adults, and families in line with statutory frameworks
- Develop, implement, and review care and support plans
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure coordinated support
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records and reports
- Safeguard vulnerable individuals and manage risk effectively
- Attend court proceedings where required and prepare professional reports
- Participate in supervision, training, and continuous professional development
Requirements:
- Recognised Social Work qualification (e.g. BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent)
- Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g. Social Work England)
- Experience working within statutory social care services (preferred)
- Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and work under pressure
- Full UK Driving Licence
- 3 Years permanent experience in an English local authority
