We are currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced Fostering Social Worker to join a dedicated fostering team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people by supporting foster carers to provide safe, stable, and nurturing homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake assessments of prospective foster carers (Form F assessments)
  • Provide ongoing supervision, support, and guidance to approved foster carers
  • Complete annual reviews of fostering households
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to ensure positive outcomes for children
  • Ensure all safeguarding procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Support placement stability and contribute to care planning
  • Participate in out-of-hours duty work on a rota basis (if applicable)

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
  • Proven experience within fostering, kinship, or children's services
  • Strong assessment and report‑writing skills
  • Sound knowledge of fostering regulations, standards, and safeguarding practice
  • Ability to build strong relationships with carers, children, and professionals
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
