I have an exciting opportunity for two qualified social workers to join Dorset Council's Fostering Post-Approval team.

About the role:

  • Hybrid working
  • 37 hours per week
  • £38 per hour

Dorset's Fostering Approval Team provides vital support and supervision to approved foster carers. They are proud to have dedicated funding that helps support carers and children in their care, and provide excellent training opportunities. The team also manage the Duty system, working closely with the Placements Team to ensure children are placed with the most suitable foster carers.

The service includes several specialist schemes, such as:

  • Family Link carers for children with disabilities.
  • Resilience carers for young people transitioning from residential care.
  • Parent and Child carers for parents and their babies.
  • Alongside our other mainstream carers who provide crucial support.

Requirements:

  • SWE Registration
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Drive and have access to a car
  • 3 years post-qualified experience
  • Degree level or equivalent in Social Work

All posts are subject to satisfactory DBS check and references.
