We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Social Worker to join the Family Help Service, playing a key role in supporting children and families at an early intervention and edge‑of‑care level. Key Responsibilities

  • Hold a complex caseload of children and families requiring targeted support
  • Provide professional leadership, guidance, and reflective supervision support to Social Workers or Family Practitioners
  • Undertake high‑quality assessments, plans, and reviews in line with statutory and local guidance
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies including education, health, police, and voluntary services
  • Identify risks early and implement effective interventions to prevent escalation to statutory services
  • Maintain clear, timely, and analytical recording in line with professional standards
  • Contribute to service development and continuous improvement within the Family Help model

About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
  • Have significant experience working with children, young people, and families
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of early help, child in need, and safeguarding frameworks
  • Have experience supporting or mentoring other practitioners
  • Be confident in multi‑agency working and decision‑making
