About the Role

You will be joining a well-structured and organised team of around 30 individuals who are looking to grow the staffing levels. The role offers flexible working hours and has a supportive team culture with regular supervision on cases. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and supportive team within Dorset Council.

The team are involved in:

  • Mainstream assessment and post approval support
  • Kinship assessments (including Reg 24/Fostering/Special guardianship)
  • Supported Lodgings assessment and support
  • Staying Put
  • Run the Mockingbird model

Day to day activities:

  • You will plan your own diary
  • Full team meeting once a month and assessment team meeting once a month
  • Take turn in duty rota
  • Role will be to complete approx. 4 kinship (fostering/SGO) through to completion to work between home and office

Requirements as a Social Worker include:

  • SWE Registration
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Drive and have access to a car
  • Post-qualified experience
  • Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
