About the Role
You will be joining a well-structured and organised team of around 30 individuals who are looking to grow the staffing levels. The role offers flexible working hours and has a supportive team culture with regular supervision on cases. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and supportive team within Dorset Council.
The team are involved in:
- Mainstream assessment and post approval support
- Kinship assessments (including Reg 24/Fostering/Special guardianship)
- Supported Lodgings assessment and support
- Staying Put
- Run the Mockingbird model
Day to day activities:
- You will plan your own diary
- Full team meeting once a month and assessment team meeting once a month
- Take turn in duty rota
- Role will be to complete approx. 4 kinship (fostering/SGO) through to completion to work between home and office
Requirements as a Social Worker include:
- SWE Registration
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Drive and have access to a car
- Post-qualified experience
- Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
