Job description:
Job Summary
A Senior Social Worker to join a great Children in Need/Child Protection Social Work Team with a Pay rate up to £39.04 per hour on a Locum basis. To provide a high quality and effective social work service to respond to the needs of children and their families in a timely manner and within statutory guidelines. To assess need, plan and deliver focused intervention to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.
Duties
Assessment; To provide a clear and accurate assessment of a child and his/her family\'s needs in line with statutory guidance
Planning and service delivery; To provide focused and purposeful social work interventions with explicit aims and objectives about desired outcomes within the context of managing risk to children
Direct work with children and their families; To build a professional relationship with children and their families and to use that relationship to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes
Accountability; To take responsibility and be accountable for all work undertaken as directed by the Consultant Social Worker/Practice Development Manager
Partnership with other agencies; To work purposefully with other agencies to promote positive outcomes for children and their familiesExperience
A recognized qualification in Social Work (e.g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent).
Proven experience in a Children\'s social work setting, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practices.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to work independently as well as part of a team.
