Child Protection Social Worker – Dorset Council

About the Role
As a Child Protection Social Worker, you will play a vital role in assessing risk, developing care plans, and working collaboratively with families and partner agencies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children. You\’ll manage a varied caseload, contribute to strategy discussions and case conferences, and provide written reports for court proceedings when required.

What We\’re Looking For
We\’re seeking experienced, compassionate professionals who are confident in their decision-making and committed to working in partnership with children and families. You\’ll need to be registered with Social Work England and have a sound understanding of safeguarding legislation, child development, and trauma-informed approaches.

Key Requirements

Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
Experience in child protection and statutory safeguarding work
Strong assessment, planning, and report-writing skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
A commitment to reflective practice and continuous professional development
