Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert support and troubleshooting for financial systems
- Work closely with IT to resolve system-related issues
- Build and maintain reports using tools such as Business Objects, Crystal Reports, or similar
- Support ongoing system improvements and operational continuity
- Assist with handover to the incoming permanent postholder
About You
- Proven experience as a Systems Accountant, ideally in the public sector
- Strong background working with financial systems (experience with Civica Financials is highly desirable, but not essential)
- Demonstrable experience in report building and data analysis
- Advanced VBA skills
- Working knowledge of SQL and financial system infrastructure, with the ability to engage confidently with IT teams
- A proactive self-starter with strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
