We re recruiting for an Advanced Practitioner to join Halton Borough Council s Short Breaks Team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist team supporting children and young people with disabilities and their families.

As an Advanced Practitioner, you ll provide expert practice leadership, support less experienced colleagues, and help deliver high-quality, child-centred services that make a real difference.

The role will involve: Managing a complex caseload of children and families.

Providing mentoring, guidance and practice support to Social Workers.

Leading on assessments, care planning and safeguarding where required.

Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to achieve the best outcomes.

Promoting strengths-based practice and ensuring statutory responsibilities are met.

What we re looking for: Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.

Significant post-qualifying experience within Children s Services.

Experience working with children with disabilities and Short Breaks services is desirable.

Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding, and statutory guidance.

Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills. 3 years permanent experience.
