Contract: Full-Time (36 hours/week), Temporary until 31st March 2027

Are you an organised coordinator looking to make a direct, meaningful impact on residents facing housing and financial crises? The London Borough of Hackney is hiring a dedicated Removals Support Officer to join the 'Here To Help' service.

In this critical role, you will take full operational ownership of organising resident removals and managing the associated financial invoicing. By taking the lead on these logistics, you will directly free up frontline outreach and housing teams to process urgent hardship funding and protect vulnerable residents from homelessness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end removal arrangements for service users efficiently and empathetically.
  • Process and validate removal-related invoices accurately to ensure smooth financial workflows.
  • Liaise with internal council teams, external contractors, and vulnerable residents to schedule moves seamlessly.
  • Maintain accurate records and track budget allocation across the service.

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous experience in logistics, administrative coordination, or service support within local government or social care settings.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage high-volume transactional workloads and invoice processing.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • A compassionate, solution-focused approach when working with residents in high-stress situations.
