About the Role

We are currently recruiting reliable and hardworking School Cleaners to join our team supporting schools across the London Borough of Hackney (LBH). The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work and can work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, and communal areas
  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
  • Replenishing cleaning and hygiene supplies
  • Ensuring all cleaning duties are completed to a high standard
  • Following health and safety procedures at all times
  • Reporting maintenance issues or concerns to the Site Manager

Essential Requirements

  • Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Good attention to detail
  • Flexible availability for last minute work
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional approach
  • Understanding of health and safety procedures
  • Valid Enhanced DBS Certificate
